LATIN AND BALLROOM PROGRESSIVE GROUP CLASSES FOR ADULTS 2024
ONE-YEAR DANCE PROGRAM

 

Session 1 – 16 weeks (January-May) of progressive group classes.

 

Session 2 – 12 weeks (June -August) of progressive group classes.

Session 3 – 12 weeks (September-December) of progressive group classes.

 

Session 1 STARTS MONDAY,  JANUARY 22, 2024

 

Level 1 at 6:30 pm till 7:30 pm

Level 2 at 7.30 pm till 8.30 pm

 

DESCRIPTION

You will learn the most popular Ballroom and Latin dances. This class series instructs you in the fundamentals of frame, footwork, posture, and timing – plus, we will spend more time on technical aspects of dancing and leading and following with a partner for Ballroom and Latin dances.

Our group classes are PROGRESSIVE INSTRUCTION, meaning that each week, your instructor will build off the previous week’s lesson, incorporating new steps and tips. This creates a more efficient and productive way to learn.

Level 1 – Session 1

Class starts at 6:30 pm

You will learn the most popular Ballroom and Latin dances. We will teach six dances. This class series instructs you in the fundamentals of frame, footwork, posture, and timing – plus, we will spend more time on technical aspects of dancing as well as leading and following with a partner for Ballroom and Latin dances.

For most students, progressive classes are the most effective way of learning and retaining the techniques and material necessary to becoming an excellent social dancer.
There are no contracts to sign.

Classes are 55 minutes long.

If you need more tailored instruction, you can book a private lesson at $75 per lesson.
Couples and singles are welcome in all classes – no partner needed!

 

Level 2 Session 1 Class starts at 7:30 pm

Based on the Silver and Gold  Syllabus.

We will add more figures to your dances from the Silver Syllabus. Also, we will continue to work on the figures you have learned, focusing on technique, frame, lead/follow, timing, musicality, and form.

 

 

TUITION

 

Session 1 – 16 weeks (Jan-May) of progressive group classes – $265

 

Session 1 – 12 weeks (June – Aug) of progressive group classes- $200

Session 2 – 12 weeks (Sept-Dec) of progressive group classes- $200

REGISTRATION

At the first class, arrive about 15 minutes before the start of the first class to register and pay tuition. Cash, personal check only.

WITHDRAWALS

24 Hour Cancellation, Rescheduling, No Show and Refund Policy
Your appointments are very important to the Jacksonville Dance Center. They are reserved especially for you. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. Therefore, we request at least 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule appointments.

 

Any late arrivals will shorten your appointment time and will not be made up by running into the next client’s scheduled appointment.

 

Any appointment missed, late, canceled, or no-show will result in a charge equal to 100% of the reserved service amount, and an appointment will be taken off the package. All dance lesson purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.

 

Group class purchases paid in advance will be refunded in full if withdrawal is before the first class of the session. Otherwise, withdrawals are allowed only at the end of the first class, minus the cost of the first class.

 

There is no refund or credit for missing classes. After the second class, there are no refunds, only credit towardsprivate lessons or future group classes. Credit will expire one year from the purchase date.

LIABILITY RELEASE

Before admittance to any group class or private lesson, a signed release is required. Minors require a parent/guardian signature.
